Your Vacation Begins
My friends know that I love cruising and the Caribbean and cannot get enough of it. So, let my experience help guide you through this vacation. Hopefully, you will feel the same way that I do and wanting for more.
First things first. We are booked, now what? You may think that March 2014 is a long time away. However, if you want to experience Old San Juan with a pre or post cruise, you need to think about the type of hotel that you want now. I highly recommended that you fly in at least the day before to account for weather and flight delays. It is still winter for our northern friends. Many cruisers want to experience Old San Juan as well as I do and there are limited non chain mid price hotels, and they fill up fast for every cruise. There are plenty of chain hotels in San Juan. You will be able to find a room if you wait or are undecided, but it may not the type, location, or price point that you want. I am watching out for your hard earn dollars. So, if I suggest a room or flight, I have done the research. Please see the pre and post cruise link to the right for Old San Juan hotel information. These two sister hotels come highly recommended on many of the travel sites. They are very close to the Port of San Juan and within walking distance to restaurants and shopping.
This is your forum too so feel free to comment and add any suggestions or questions that you have and keep watching regularly for updates. Bon Voyage!
Thanks, Jo Ann
